For the past two years, I've been in training for the chance to compete in Eugene, Oregon for an event I wasn't even sure would exist yet. I lobbied the U.S. Olympic Track & Field committee and finally convinced them to hold the first ever test run of the 100 Mile event to see if it could be a legitimate event for future Olympics.
Yesterday, in an untelevised event, I ran with 8 other select individuals in the 100 Miler. The race is approximately 402 laps around the track, a grueling test of pure will. I'm proud to report that I edged out the competition in a thrilling photo finish.
